NSPTO Scholarships

The NSPTO awards two $500 scholarships annually, managed through the Scholarship Committee. The scholarship is open to Wheeler seniors regardless of their post-graduation plans (e.g., college, military,
trade school, workforce).

To be eligible, students must volunteer for the NSPTO during their high school career. We will maintain a spreadsheet for each class. If a high school student volunteers for an event you chair or in some other way that directly benefits the NSPTO, please contact Scholarship Committee chair Breeze Floyd at breeze@loveresembles.com to add the student to the sheet.

All PTO members will be invited to participate in the selection process at the last NSPTO regular meeting of each school year. Any interested member may attend the subsequent Scholarship Committee meeting and vote for the scholarship recipients. At the meeting eligible students and their associated volunteer activities will be shared. Scholarships will be awarded by majority vote of the meeting attendees. The Scholarship Committee chair will be responsible for ensuring awards are disbursed to the selected recipients.
